Green Verge & Tree plantation
Mangalam Foundation is deeply passionate about environmental protection. We acknowledge that tree plantation is one of the most effective ways to combat global warming, deforestation, and pollution. Since its inception, tree plantation has been a regular activity for the foundation. We adopted 47 kattahs of land, named GREEN VERGE, from the New Town Kolkata Development Authority (NKDA), where we planted nearly 1,100 different fruit trees within a year. Over the past six years, Mangalam has successfully planted almost 7,000 trees and plants in various locations, including Sundarban, Birbhum, and North 24 Parganas, contributing significantly to the environment and community well-being.
Ganga Mission:
We also have partnered with GANGA MISSION and inspired by its national secretary Sri Prahlad Roy Goenka we have started working to plant 1o,000 trees annually across various locations in the state as part of our commitment to environmental protection. This initiative aims to combat climate change, enhance biodiversity and promote a healthier ecosystem. By actively participating in tree plantation efforts, we aim to contribute significantly to the preservation of our environment.
