Sur–Tulir Pathshala
Mangalam is deeply committed to the development of education, art, and culture. Guided by the belief that “Education can build a Nation,” we have taken significant strides on this path. In 2019, we established SUR–TULIR PATHSHALA, the first school supporting the performing arts, in Shyamnagar, North 24 Parganas. Here we offer free training in vocal music, dance, drawing, and recitation to approximately 147 underprivileged children. We also established a branch of this school at Bolpur where over 50 children are being provided classes on art and culture. Mangalam’s mission is to uplift and empower through education and the arts.
Surakshar Pathshala:
Recognizing the importance of self-defense skills, especially for girls, Mangalam has taken proactive steps to empower young women through martial arts. With a focus on ensuring the safety and self-reliance of girls, Mangalam established SURAKSHAR PATHSHALA, a dedicated school for martial arts. Located in Shyamnagar, North 24 Parganas, this school provides free self-defense training to young girls, equipping them with the skills and confidence needed to protect themselves in any situation. We have also extended this initiative at Birbhum for the local needy children. Our commitment extends beyond education and arts, actively promoting safety and empowerment for all.
Yoga Training:
Mangalam promotes physical and mental well-being through yoga, the ancient practice of living a healthy life. To ensure its benefits reach the community, Mangalam offers free yoga training to underprivileged students and their mothers on a regular basis. This initiative not only improves health but also fosters mindfulness and inner peace, creating a holistic approach to well-being for both the younger and older generations within the community.
Smart & Communication Skill Development:
Our Mangalam foundation is dedicated to empowering students of underprivileged section academically. So, we offer free academic coaching to underprivileged students, from the primary to secondary levels, ensuring they receive quality education and support. We also provide free Smart and communication skill development training, helping these children build essential skills for the future. We hope that these initiatives will help them grow both academically and personally, fostering confidence and better opportunities for their future success.
Free Beautician Course:
In today’s world, financial independence is crucial for women. To support this, Mangalam launched a free beautician course in Bolpur, Birbhum, offering training to many underprivileged young women. With a vision of self-development and empowerment, the program has already helped 51 women become financially independent, enabling them to earn their own income. Mangalam’s initiative is making a significant impact on the lives of these women, fostering self-reliance and confidence.
