Relief support to affected in Cyclone in SUNDARBAN:

As part of our commitment to serving humanity and giving back to society, Mangalam actively responds to the struggles of people affected by natural calamities. After the devastating Amphan cyclone in 2020, the people of Sundarban were severely impacted. In response to their dire situation, we promptly arranged and distributed essential relief materials to support their survival. We reached nearly 24,000 people, providing raw and cooked food, clothing, medicines, water, and study materials, helping them recover and rebuild their lives.

Relief During COVID-19 Era:

During the lockdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Mangalam took swift action to support those in need from the very first day. We were aware of the challenges faced by people, especially daily wage earners, in securing basic necessities. so , we have distributed essential supplies like raw food, household items, sanitizers, and masks to vulnerable communities in Kolkata, Bolpur, and North 24 Parganas.

Free 23 Bedded Safe–Home:

Mangalam is the first non-government organization to establish a Free 23-Bedded Safe Home (Isolation Centre) in Kolkata. This home is designed to provided essential services to COVID-19 positive patients, including free food, beds, medicines, doctor consultations, healthcare staff, and oxygen. Additionally, Mangalam extended support by supplying free food and medicines to 2,905 COVID-19 positive patients in their homes, ensuring they received the care and resources needed during the pandemic.
