Since the incorporation of Mangalam Foundation, we have aspired to establish a FREE HOME FOR THE DISTRESSED AND HELPLESS ELDERLY WOMEN, and on 10th December 2023, this dream became a reality with the inauguration of DEB-ABAS at Pioneer Park, Barasat, North 24 Parganas. This 25-bedded home now provides a safe, nurturing, and joyful environment for elderly women who have faced distress and hardship in their lives. DEB-ABAS is fully equipped with modern amenities such as a library, comfortable beds, refrigerators, dining sets, televisions, geysers, water purifiers, oxygen concentrators, and room-specific emergency alarms.

Mangalam Foundation ensures that these mothers receive healthy and hygienic vegetarian meals, seasonal clothes, milk, and fruits on a regular basis. We celebrate their personal milestones, creating a sense of belonging and community. The home is also designed with a wide courtyard and puja room for spiritual fulfillment, while 24-hour CCTV surveillance and dedicated attendants provide round-the-clock care and security.
